April 2, 2011 dawned cold and cloudy, much relief after a 90 degree Friday! Candy and 90 degree’s just do not go well together! We were in front of the Pechanga Ballroom bright and early to set up for the Wine Festival. Decadence was asked to the only chocolatier in attendance… What an honor..We were set in the back area next to the fabulous South Coast Winery gals and Miramonte Winery. We love South Coast’s Blanc Noir, goes great with our White Chocolate dipped Dark Chocolate Hazelnut cake bites! Now that is a match made in heaven! I must say, both of our both’s were busy all day!
The amount of guests streaming by our booth was impressive! Word went around quick about our Dark Chocolate Cayenne Pepper bark and how well it went with the wonderful deep Reds being served from wineries up and down the California coast and as far as Australia! The spice hits you in the back of the throat and a sip of red wine just makes the burn so much better! Yummy!

Dark chocolate cayenne pepper, peppermint crunch, milk chocolate nut and fruit, white chocolate pomegranate almond bark.
With my team for the day, Barbara and Haley we were serving bark, Princess and Prince pops, Cake bites and Gold dusted milk chocolate coconut crunch pieces to more than 1000 tasters! There was nothing left when the event finished! Guests loved the Lemon Lime Milk chocolate dipped cake bites, the Pomegranate Milk chocolate dipped cake bites, Dark chocolate hazelnut, white chocolate dipped cake bites and the luscious Strawberry Dark chocolate dipped cake bites, along with our Prince pops (dark chocolate dipped marshmallows) and our Princess Pops (white chocolate dipped marshmallows). And of course our famous Barks.. Milk Chocolate fruit and nut, White chocolate cranberry pomegranate almond, White chocolate peppermint crunch and the infamous Dark chocolate cayenne pepper! All handmade with love and the finest ingredients… I guess the best compliment is a empty table and ours was bare! Over 300 Prince and Princess pops and 800 cake bites just flew ff the table! Whew!
We left tired but happy that so many people were able to experience our wonderful treats. Thank you Ericka for asking us to be a part of the fabulous Wine Festival. We had a blast! Oh, and there was some great food being served up by the wonderful Pechanga chefs. The Great Oak chefs served up a to die for crab cake and lamb chop and Chef Tim from Journey did the best cerviche ever! Do not miss this event next year.. I think Tammi from Habitat received a nice amount to help move Habitat forward in helping more in our community! Habitat was the beneficiary for the event! Till next time which will be April 23 at Oak Grove for Evening Under the Oaks.. a cause dear to Decadence’s heart! Remember, Dream in Chocolate and we can help! We can make some delicious custom chocolates just for you! Call us, 800 565-1220 Ext 2...
